Digital literacy

Digital literacy is basically understanding and using technology. In the modern world, most of the activities have been digitalized right from making payments to online shopping on a mobile phone. High-speed internet is now available in most villages. Online classes for students and webinars are some of the new trends in the digital world and children now have to be well versed with technology starting from a young age. Government-issued documents like the aadhar card, pan card, health insurance, and others are now issued online.

The local villagers have access to computers and the internet where they learn about new technologies and can now apply for a health insurance card, pan cards, driving licenses, submit assignments, and other online activities.

A digital village is one of the key steps for its sustainability and progress.

Handicraft

What better way to explore your imagination and give shape to beautiful things. The reusability of waste material in an eco-friendly way is the need of the hour. Making Handicrafts are an opportunity for villagers to display their creativity as well as a way to supplement their income.

Cow dung is found in abundance and is of little value apart from being used as a fertilizer. The village children play with mud and cow dung in a fun and relaxed environment creating beautiful flower pots, idols, oil lamps, and other decorative art. This has enhanced their hand-eye co-ordination, increased their creativity, and connects them with the land.

Physical Activities

Children who are physically fit are better able to handle physical and emotional challenges. Modern life focuses mainly on academics ignoring the importance of a child’s physical activity. This has resulted in children losing their connection to nature and themselves.

The local village children have beautifully transitioned from learning to sharing and training other children without any sense of competition. This has led to the children doing group activities, bonding, and coming closer together as a community. Fun activities such as Mountain biking combined with cleaning up garbage in the forest, swimming in the river, climbing trees, and going walking in the forest is now something the village children do regularly and with great enthusiasm.
